Ten Thousand Waves

Ten Thousand Waves is inspired by the great Japanese mountain hot spring resorts. Everything we do has been constantly and thoughtfully refined over the last 40 years. We're ten minutes drive from downtown Santa Fe, but only minutes from the National Forest.

We have modeled our bathing experience after the great hot spring onsen of Japan. To adapt to our brave new world, we have converted all our bathing environments so each is totally self-contained with a hot tub, sauna, and your own private changing room and showers. We allow time between each session to disinfect surfaces and to assure that the entire volume of water in the hot tub and cold plunge has gone through a complete filtration/sanitation cycle.

Some suites have cooling berths with mattresses. Children under four feet tall may use spa suites at no charge when accompanied by an adult (2 kids maximum per adult). Hot tub water is maintained at 104-106 degrees F., cold plunges are around 55 degrees F., saunas average 180 degrees F. We can reduce the temperature in Shoji to 99 degrees. Reservations for hot tubs are required.

We presently schedule tubs, massages and facials up to 45 days in advance. The online schedule indicates real time availability. Hint: Click on 'any available tub' to see next opening. Refresh your browser several times per day and you will see cancellations as soon as they appear.

All massages and facial treatments include unlimited time in the Grand Bath. All treatments are done in spacious rooms with natural light, HEPA filtration, and good ventilation. COVID Safe practices are strictly upheld. Private shower and changing areas provided with each treatment.

We train all of our therapists in tradecraft and ethics. All therapists have: At least 650 hours of training in an accredited massage school and membership in a professional massage organization.
