Steeped in history and tradition, Ojo Caliente is one of the country’s oldest health spas, dating back to 1868 when the historic bathhouse first welcomed travelers in search of respite in the healing waters.

Tucked between the rugged desert cliffs and cottonwood-lined bosque, sulfur-free, geothermal mineral waters have flowed from a subterranean volcanic aquifer for thousands of years and are held as sacred by the Native American tribes of Northern New Mexico.

Our waters comprise varying degrees of lithia, iron, soda and arsenic. With ten pools overflowing with different combinations of these waters and temperatures ranging from 80-109 degrees, you’ll find exactly what your body needs to achieve the ultimate in healing and relaxation.
